AI for SMS and iMessage
Iris was one of the first commercially available LLM over SMS products. Although it was a simple idea; our product greatly increased the accessibility of language models for everyday people. Users didn't need to log in or download an app to start chatting with AI. Beyond novelty, there are a large number of commercial applications here like customer service, order placements, and lead gen & qualification.
Browser capability
Iris was one of the first conversational AI products to offer browsing capability second to Perplexity in April 2023 and before OpenAI and Google. Modifying the model to accomodate simple real time questions like "What's the weather outside?" presented users with an entirely new dimension and a lot of initial unknowns for our team.
Prompt Engineering Flow
The prompt flow below describes a mix of prompts in combination of GPT-4, GPT-3.5, and Bard as they interact with our scraper and messaging services. It's a bit hacky and the flow attempts to cover most edge cases we found in testing.
Flip Phone
Possibly the first recorded LLM interaction on a flip phone. The idea here was to
show just how accessible we could get, and we figured the most absurd idea would be to text ChatGPT
through a flip phone (4/14/2023).
